Written Response format requirements
Every written assignment you turn in MUST meet these requirements totaling 40 points of your final grade. I reserve the right to not grade any assignment not meeting these requirements.

1-Writing Assignments Unit
1-Writing Assignment: “20 Ways to be an Actor Everyone wants to work with” by Adriana Nocco
Read and annotate the article together as a class and write a one-page response to the question.
Response question: Citing the article as evidence, discuss what you believe are the TWO most important behaviors shown by fellow actors that make you feel respected during the rehearsal process.

2- Actor Preparedness Unit
1- Slate
Write a professional slate to perform in class:

2- Base Garment/Makeup
Learn how to build a base for your costumes and how to apply basic stage makeup
3- Meisner/Adler Unit
1- Vocab
Learn 10 words each week and take a quiz each 20 words
2- Read and annotate the articles about Meisner and Adler together as a class. Divide into two groups and create an interesting presentation on each technique of acting.
2- Stella Adler Exercises:
Complete all Adler exercises in class, turn in packet
3- Sanford Meisner Exercises:
Complete all Meisner exercises in class, turn in packet
4- Meisner/Adler scene work
Work on scenes from Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl with a partner. Script analysis and Method work required. Perform in class
4- International Accents Unit
1- Tongue Twister
Choose a tongue twister, memorize, perform in class using both accents
2- RP English Accent
Work on scenes using an RP English accent. Script analysis and Method work required. Perform in class.
3- Cockney English Accent
Work on scenes using a cockney English accent. Script analysis and Method work required. Perform in class.
5- Shakespeare Unit
1- Monologues
Work on 2 monologues in class, learn to research Shakespeare language and meaning. Choose own Shakespeare monologue, memorize and script analysis. Perform in class.
2- Scenes
Work on 2 scenes in class. Choose a scene to perform in class. Script analysis and research required. Perform in class.
