4- Meisner/Adler Acting Technique Assignment

Students will research the two acting techniques of Meisner and Adler. They will divide into two groups and research their technique and create an interesting presentation for class.

Students will learn verbal and physical warm ups. Students will be expected to create a personal 5 minute warm up

7- Meisner/Adler exercises

Students will complete the acting exercises taught by Meisner and Adler. Packet due at the end of the unit.

8- Meisner/Adler scene work

Students will work on a scene from Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl with a partner. They are expected to use their Meisner/Adler techniques for prep. Put all work on the Meisner/Adler google doc

 

9- Accent Unit- tongue twisters

We will start our accents unit with memorizing a tongue twister and perform it using correct enunciation. Students must use their M/A techniques to create a character and performance for their tongue twister.

10- Accents- RP English phrases

Students will research two RP English phrases and use them in their daily life. Report back in class

 

11- Accent Unit- RP English

Students will learn how to use the proper RP English accent. Students will use their accent on their tongue twister. Script must be coded and character designed for using the accent.
