Intro to Theatre

Tuesday- SUB DAY. I am off campus at a training. Work independently and quietly.

5 period assignment: Read and annotate the article. Write a one page response to the question. You can type or hand write response. Response due at the end of the period. Work on Tony Tuesday response. You may only watch up to 3 videos. NO watching videos together. No sitting in lounge.

Response question: Citing the article as evidence, discuss how an actor can use emotion in a truthful way instead of overacting.

1- Character research

Once students are assigned a character, they must complete research

• Name
• Age
• Gender
• Adjectives
• Pictures

2- Blocking

Once we choose our scenes and characters, we will block the show. Students will write blocking in their scripts

3- Rehearsal

Students will begin rehearsal for their parts. No expectation of memorizing lines, students will learn how to hold scripts while acting. Write all notes in google doc
