1- Costume Project Due Thursday, Feb 24

Please turn in your Character assignment by 11:59 PM Thursday, Feb 24. There are 3 parts to the assignment: Individual character research, crew character research, video explanation of the costume. Details for each element of the assignment are here. Only ONE member of each crew needs to turn in the Crew research and the video. Every member of the class should turn in an individual research document.

Part 1: Individual research:

All crew members will turn in their individual research on their character. Research must include: 3 adjectives of the character, Character description, 3 pics per costume piece, an explanation of each picture.

Part 2: Crew research:

One member of each crew must turn in the Crew’s research for their character. Your crew will compile the best pieces from each crew member’s research to create one cohesive costume design. Research must include: 3 adjectives of the character, Character description, 3 pics per costume piece, an explanation of each picture.

Part 3: Crew presentations:

2 members of the crew need to present the costume designs. 2 members of the crew must wear the designs for the presentations. Record a video of your crew member presenting the costume on the actor and discussing the design choices and reasons why the costume fits the time period. Video does not need to be long, just enough to defend all choices and explain the pieces. Any issues with the video, please email me BEFORE 11:59 PM.

2- Article 2 response- Due Friday, 3/4

Article 2: “A Stitch in Time” by Shirlee Idzakovich

Response question: Citing the article as evidence, discuss how productions can best use student designers and stay on budget and schedule.
