Students will memorize their monologue and work on character analysis. Begin rehearsal and blocking
Chunking a monologue- assign an emotion to each “chunk”. Break the piece into smaller parts. You need to choose an emotional journey for your piece and each chuck takes you on that journey
Beating a monologue- using the punctuation and emotional journey, draw a slash for every place you want to take a beat.
2- Character Analysis- create backstory
Every character has a complete backstory. Every actor needs to do research to determine every aspect of their character’s life. Once you choose your monologue you will write a character analysis on your character.
