This show is bananas. \n\n\n\nXanadu follows the journey of Greek goddess\, Kira\, as she descends from Mount Olympus to Venice Beach\, California\, in 1980. She’s on a quest to help the struggling artist\, Sonny\, succeed in the creation of the “greatest piece of artistry of all time”- the first ROLLER DISCO!\n\n\n\nCostume\n\n\n\n1- Cinderella\n\n\n\nDesigners will continue pulling and prepping for the needs of the show. Designers need to start setting up fittings for their actors. Fittings can be during 6 period\, before or after school or during any period of the day that is convenient. It is the responsibility of the Designers to give me AT LEAST a day’s notice to get attendance figured out. Any requests for the same day will not be honored.\n\n\n\n2- Alterations\n\n\n\nDesigners will learn how to fit costumes for alterations.\n\n\n\n3- Machine sewing- Block day\n\n\n\nDesigners will learn how to use the sewing machines in room 310. We will use the machines for alterations.\n\n\n\nFUSD Theatre Festival\n\n\n\nRTC is hosting the FUSD Theatre Festival again this year. We are scheduled for a full day: 9 AM- 4 PM. All students enrolled in a Theatre class is expected to attend. You will be missing classes all day\, ensure you keep up with the work for the day.\n\n\n\nAccording to the syllabus your attendance was agreed upon at the beginning of the year:\n\n\n\nFUSD Theatre Festival Requirement\n\n\n\nAll RSA Theatre students are expected to participate in the FUSD Theatre Festival. We will work through the show together and discuss characters and how people move. Motivation and Objective along with relationships is the focus.\n\n\n\nStudents will choose 2-4 pages of Home at 6 to block. The deadline to apply is March 16th at 4PM. I have some exciting news to share with you about changes to the scholarship this year. Some big changes include NO GPA requirement to apply\, no letters of recommendation are required and no formal essay is required\, however students will be asked to complete two free response essay questions with a 200 word minimum.   \n\n\n\n1.       Describe how financial need has impacted you\, and how receiving this scholarship would contribute to your educational plans. \n\n\n\n2.       Please share an experience (positive\, negative\, or otherwise) while attending Fresno Unified School District that has influenced your future goals and aspirations. \n\n\n\nCCR in collaboration with the FUSD foundation and Diversity\, Equity and Inclusion department  have made changes and revised the rubric for scoring in hopes that we will have a more diverse applicant pool and more winners with a variety of experiences to share. Our district will be awarding 400\,000 this year for selected winners\, compared to 300\,000 last year. This includes three 10\,000 amazon scholarships and an additional three scholarships specifically for top students that demonstrate a focus on STEM\, Trade or other general interest major.
